Sheepdog Medic
Program Information
The Grey Man Tactical Sheepdog Medic program consists of a series of emergency
medical courses intended to provide the individual with the basic knowledge and skills
to provide care to family and friends in emergency medical situations. Those individuals
who complete the Grey Man Tactical Sheepdog Medic program requirements maybe
selected to receive a certificate of program completion and a Sheepdog Medic patch.
Our Sheepdog Medic program has been designed to provide the participant with the
skills necessary to assess the need for immediate and prolonged care for victims of
traumatic events from a variety of natural and manmade causes. The program includes
course information on the Good Samaritan Law, scene safety, patient assessment,
standard of care, basic care of injuries, penetrating and closed injuries, life threatening
bleeds, chest wounds, airway and shock management, care of fractures, introduction to
triage of casualties, disaster considerations, long term care for injuries and other related
topics.
The Grey Man Tactical Sheepdog Medic program was designed for adults with little or
no formal medical training. Knowledge gained from this program is intended for
individual information and use in emergency situations when advanced emergency
medical help is delayed or not available. The Sheepdog Medic program is in no way
intended to certify an individual to perform these skills for hire or use on the public.
Program participants are encouraged to know and understand the Good Samaritan Law
and how that applies to them. Participants are encouraged to continue their medical
training through other courses offered by Grey Man Tactical and other training sources.
